dot-art Schools 2024 Exhibition, Walker Art Gallery, 6th June – 7th July 2024
We are delighted that the dot-art Schools 2024 Exhibition is being held at the prestigious Walker Art Gallery again and open to the public from Thursday 6th June to Sunday 7th July 2024.
Exhibition open 10am – 5pm daily, closed Mondays. FREE entry, no booking required.
The show features over 90 artworks by Year 5 and Year 9 winning artists from the schools across Liverpool city region. We also have another display area on the first floor landing with wall panels listing all the schools taking part, our sponsors and supporters, plus information about the dot-art Schools programme and how schools can get involved. There is also a tv screening the shortlisted top three artist from each school.
For this year’s engagement activity we invite visitors to respond to the question – What is art for? We invite you to contribute your response to our provocation on a post – it note, or write your thoughts in the comments book.
We are grateful to National Museums Liverpool for providing this inspiring venue to host our 12th annual exhibition. The Walker Art Gallery is the national gallery of the North. For 130 years it has housed Liverpool’s most outstanding art collection. You can enjoy beautiful paintings, sculpture and decorative art from the 13th century to the present day, alongside dot-art Schools winning young artists’ exhibition in gallery 9. Don’t forget there is also a cafe and a shop!
