Champion Creative Careers in Schools

dot-art Schools in partnership with LJMU presents Creative Careers Event

On Friday 23rd June, dot-art Schools and partners Liverpool John Moores University are holding an inspirational day of advocacy to help education professionals to champion the value and impact of studying art. The event will begin with a tour of the LJMU Art and Design Academy, followed by a visit to the 2017 dot-art Schools exhibition in St Georges Hall, then finish by hearing from three expert speakers on the diverse and vital range of careers that are opened up by a creative education.

Join us for an inspirational day of advocacy to help you champion the impact and value of the arts in your school!

  • Tour of Liverpool John Moores University School of Art and Design
  • Tour of the dot-art Schools exhibition at St George’s Hall, Liverpool
  • Seminar with three expert speakers in County Sessions House

WHO IS IT FOR:

Head teachers, senior leaders, school governors and art & design curriculum leaders.

WHY ATTEND:

While the impact of budget cuts and the removal of creative subjects from the curriculum are making partnership working more and more important, it is clear that teachers and parents are sometimes unable to appreciate or communicate the enormous value of a creative education and the impact it can have on a student’s life, whether or not they choose to follow an overtly “creative” path.

Find out more about the impact of the creative industries nationally and hear our speakers making the case for how studying art & design can benefit young people at school and beyond. Discover the huge range of creative career pathways and take away compelling evidence and further information to share with colleagues, students and their families.
