This term Year 5 have been learning about the Ancient Greeks. We used our lesson on Ancient Greek architecture as a stimulus for our artwork. Each child has created their own version on the Ionic Order column which is still used in modern architecture around the world. The children used chalk and charcoal to create their work. We studied the technique of blending to create light and shadow which can be seen throughout all their pieces.

Our expert judging panel select the top three artworks from each school in March.
Then you can Vote online for your favourite shortlisted piece in March/April. The shortlisted entry from each school with the most votes (marked with a 1st place gold cup) wins a place in the public exhibition in June.
