Bridgemere CE Primary is a small rural school at the heart of the community. Our vision is for all pupils to become lifelong learners and to flourish and reach their unique potential. Our curriculum develops the whole child and Art and Design is a subject that is taught and learnt with passion. Every child from Nursery to Year 6 is encouraged to develop their own style and work produced is to an outstanding standard. At our recent Ofsted inspection, inspectors commented on the high standard and individuality of work. When creating work for one of our most recent projects, our students were inspired by nature’s magnificent structures. We looked closely at the designs of Sarajevan-born artist, Yellena James, whose work explores the intricate and delicate forms of an imagined ecosystem. Produced using inks, pens and surface-stitched parts, our studies provide a unique insight into individual worlds and magical dreamscapes.
