Dovedale is a four form entry school. At Dovedale Primary school, we value Art and Design as an crucial element of our children’s broad and balanced curriculum. Our curriculum specialises in drawing and painting throughout the first two terms with summer units of work further developing these skills as well as learning other disciplines. We endeavour to widen pupils' knowledge through studying a diverse range of male and female artists, craft makers, illustrators, architects, and designers of differing cultural heritages throughout history.

Our expert judging panel select the top three artworks from each school in March.
Then you can Vote online for your favourite shortlisted piece in March/April. The shortlisted entry from each school with the most votes (marked with a 1st place gold cup) wins a place in the public exhibition in June.
