School Champion

This artwork was created using a negative painting technique inspired by artist Ketki Fadni. Negative painting is a method where the subject is defined by painting around it, rather than painting the subject itself, which helps create strong contrast and depth. We began by covering the background with multiple colours that complement one another, building a vibrant base layer. Next, we used stencils to add a variety of patterns over the top to create texture and visual interest. After this, we drew our floral design onto the surface and carefully painted the surrounding negative space in white, allowing the flowers to stand out clearly against the layered background.
