Now proud to be part of the Lydiate Learning Trust family, Knotty Ash is a warm and welcoming one-form entry school. We are a Flagship School for Inclusion where children of all abilities learn together, respecting differences and celebrating diversity. Our motto is ‘Loving Learning Together’ and creativity is at the heart of our Inclusive Curriculum. During their studies of the human body, Year 5 compared the work of Leonardo da Vinci and Jean-Michel Basquiat by exploring the way in which both artists represented parts of the skeleton. Children were inspired to create their own striking expressions of the human form using a variety of media including paint, pencil, graphite and oil pastel.

Then you can Vote online for your favourite shortlisted piece in March/April. The shortlisted entry from each school with the most votes (marked with a 1st place gold cup) wins a place in the public exhibition in June.
