North Liverpool Academy (NLA) sits at the heart of our local community. We’re a true community school, committed to working with local businesses and residents and celebrating our diverse nature. The Art Department believes in providing a stimulating learning environment that is engaging and challenging. We aim to equip students with the skills and knowledge to enable them to express their own ideas and creativity as well as respond to the work of other artists and designers. Year 9 students have been experimenting with a wide range of media and techniques on the theme of Surrealism. Enrichment sessions have also included creating artwork in response to the recent Holocaust Memorial Day and their theme of 'Ordinary People.'

Our expert judging panel select the top three artworks from each school in March.
Then you can Vote online for your favourite shortlisted piece in March/April. The shortlisted entry from each school with the most votes (marked with a 1st place gold cup) wins a place in the public exhibition in June.
