North Liverpool Academy (NLA) is at the heart of our local community. As a true community school, we are dedicated to collaborating with local businesses and residents, while celebrating our diverse character. The Art Department believes in providing a stimulating learning environment that is engaging and challenging. We aim to equip students with the skills and knowledge to enable them to express their own ideas and creativity as well as respond to the work of other artists and designers. Year 9 students have been experimenting with a wide range of media and techniques on the theme of Surrealism. Enrichment sessions have also included photography and digital artwork on ‘The World Inside of Us,’ exploring the idea of a visual journey through the human mind.

Our expert judging panel select the top three artworks from each school in March.
Then you can Vote online for your favourite shortlisted piece in March/April. The shortlisted entry from each school with the most votes (marked with a 1st place gold cup) wins a place in the public exhibition in June.
