Norwood Primary School is in Southport, Merseyside. We are a school that really encourages children to express themselves and nurture their creativity and imagination. For the Dot Art Competition, the Year 5 children were inspired by the theme of 'Hopes and Dreams'. Some of the artwork was created by children at home during lockdown, as they considered their hopes and dreams for the future. These pieces were produced using a variety of media. Once the children were able to return to school, they were all given the opportunity to create a watercolour based on the same theme of 'Hopes and Dreams', so that every child could be involved. They enjoyed considering what they might like to be in the future, or where they might like to go. Whilst some children were simply inspired by the magic of dreams.

Our expert judging panel select the top three artworks from each school in March.
Then you can Vote online for your favourite shortlisted piece in April. The shortlisted entry from each school with the most votes wins a place in the public exhibition in June.
