We are a 2 form entry Primary school in South Liverpool. In our school, we love art and enjoy taking part in all aspects of our art lessons. Art runs through our whole curriculum and is essential to our life in St Austin's. Children enjoy learning about artists and craft makers and producing their own pieces of art based around our curriculum topics. We enjoy all aspects of art from drawing to sculpture, textiles to printmaking. Our love of art is evident as you approach our school building and see our amazing outside mural which encapsulates our school values and mission before you even enter the building. Last year, our winning entry has inspired our future artists to take part again this year. Children in year 5 have thoroughly enjoyed studying Frida Kahlo's artworks and learning about her life as an artist. They have created their own portraits of Frida using chalk pastel and pencil.

Then you can Vote online for your favourite shortlisted piece in March/April. The shortlisted entry from each school with the most votes (marked with a 1st place gold cup) wins a place in the public exhibition in June.
