We have always loved Art at St. Christopher's and each year group aims to complete five projects a year based on drawing, painting, 3D, collage and printing. Over the last year, Art and Design have helped so much in supporting our mental health and wellbeing and in supporting our transitions back into school. Our selected art work comes from two separate Year 5 projects. The first was a movement and drawing unit based around the work of the artist Keith Haring and the second was a painting unit based on Vincent Van Gogh's 'Starry Night'. The Van Gogh unit was the first time the children had used acrylic paint to create depth and texture and they thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with different tools to create the effects they wanted. We are delighted to showcase a sample of our fantastic Year 5 artwork, through dot art.
