Mosslands is a successful community school which provides a fully comprehensive education for about 1100 boys aged from 11 to 19 years old and which achieves excellent outcomes for all of our learners. We have a mixed Sixth Form which offers a wide range of academic and vocational provision and is carefully matched to the needs and aspirations of our students. Progression figures into higher and further education and into successful employment are amongst the highest in the North West. We are an innovative school and became the first school in the region to be recognised as a STE@M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths) centre of excellence. This has seen us build excellent links with universities and compete successfully at a national level in STEM-related competitions.
