West Derby High School, spanning the age range of 11 to 18, serves as a comprehensive school for boys, encompassing over 900 students, which also includes a mixed sixth form. Our institution provides a broad spectrum of academic and enrichment opportunities for all students, reflecting our commitment to fostering a well-rounded educational experience. We take pride in the achievements of our pupils and aspire to nurture their happiness, success, and good citizenship throughout their time with us. Notably, our Year 9 students engaged in a creative project, producing self-portraits inspired by artists: Julian Opie, Martina Shapiro, Chuck Close and Tim Burton, utilising a mix of watercolour, ink, pen, acrylic paint and coloured pencil. Their inspiration drew from the diverse range of styles of portraiture from the four very different artists.
